OUR NARROW BOATS
FOR HIRE
Your boating holiday is important to you. So it is important to us that
your canal boat provides everything that you expect of it, and that
our service is all that you require.
For details of the individual narrow boats,
click the links opposite. For a more detailed description of a typical narrow boat, click here.
All our narrow boats are
built and maintained by the same team which hands them over to
you. All of us are focussed on keeping the boats in first-class condition, well equipped
and clean, and giving you really good, personal service.
We shall do all we can to
make your Pennine canal boat holiday with us the greatest success. |
We
believe our information service, from booking to holiday, is
unrivalled. We know our local waterways well and are happy to
advise on routes before you book. The Information Pack we send you six weeks
or so before your canal boating holiday contains the
British Waterways Boater's Handbook
and DVD, plus our exclusive Holiday Guide and Route Companion
giving detailed information on your narrow boat and its
contents, routes, arrival information, and everything you need
to know.
On board are a
comprehensive boat manual, again written by us, with safety and
timing information, and several guide books, so you can take your
holiday with complete confidence.
Boat hire training is a high priority for us, so we take great care with
our handover and lock instruction, which are Quality
Assured by the British Marine Federation. |

WHAT'S ON BOARD
We give you a wide choice of accommodation layouts. Some boats have fixed double beds. On others you can choose whether a cabin has a fixed double or two fixed singles – we set it up as you request. The beds go lengthways so there is always room to walk past. Many boats have two loos.
All boats have forward facing windows, radiator central heating, showers, fresh water flush toilets, four-burner cookers with grill and oven, electric fridges, filtered drinking water, lots of worktop and storage space, colour TVs, radio CDs, phone charger points, hair dryers - and many have microwaves and DVDs. A full inventory, bed linen and cruising guides are supplied. Bed guards can be fitted for babies.
For detailed specifications and slideshows of every boat, showing the different bed arrangements, click the links on the right. |
Remember that the Tourist
Board inspectors see all our narrow boats every year, and are quite
capable of telling us when we’ve missed something. They are also
very useful in suggesting improvements that customers have liked in
other fleets – though by no
means all firms are yet prepared to be inspected by outsiders. |
